Suntech S.A. (NewConnect: SUN), a leading CEE vendor of specialized OSS/BSS solutions for Mobile, Triple-Play and Broadband Service Providers has announced today that Aero2, the operator of the first commercial LTE network in Poland, has decided to use the SunVizion Network Inventory System provided by Suntech S.A. to optimize and speed up the full-scale rollout of its LTE 1800 MHz network in 2011. The network will be based on Huawei's LTE TDD technology and will be commercially operated by Mobyland, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aero2.

The growing popularity of HSPA dongles and smartphones are driving many 3G networks to the limits. Mobile data usage is expected to increase exponentially over next five years from average of 85MB/month in 2010 to 700MB/month in 2015 per smartphone subscriber. This is driving operators' interest in LTE (Long Term Evolution), a 4G technology that can deliver mobile data more cost efficiently than the existing 3G, HSPA, and HSPA+ systems. LTE can provide downlink of at least 100 Mbps, an uplink of at least 50 Mbps. According to the industry organization GSA 156 mobile operators in 64 countries are currently investing in LTE infrastructure.

To decrease the costs and time of the LTE rollout, Aero2, an innovative new player in the competitive Polish mobile broadband market, has recently decided to use the Network Inventory solution provided by Suntech S.A. "SunVizion Network Inventory in combination with TIBCO Business Process Management engine is an extremely powerful solution that enables us to optimize key business processes and reduce the CAPEX of the LTE investment." says Adam Kuriański, CEO of Aero2. "SunVizion Network Inventory has already proven its business value by helping us to decrease the time and costs of our 3G, HSPA and HSPA+ rollouts." adds Ela Pamięta, Director of IT responsible for implementing this solution in Aero2.

"I am proud that Suntech has been given a chance to contribute to the success of the first commercial LTE deployment in Poland. Working with innovative and agile customers like Aero2 gives us a unique chance to demonstrate how the SunVizion Network Inventory and other OSS applications based on our Network Information Management framework can help to optimize the rollouts of 4G technologies, namely LTE and WiMax." says Piotr Saczuk, the President and CEO of Suntech.
